The Cube





Description from Wikipedia:

The Cube was an hour long teleplay that aired on NBC's weekly anthology television show NBC Experiment in Television February 23, 1969. The production was produced and directed by puppeteer Jim Henson, and was one of several experiments with the live-action film medium which he conducted in the 1960s, before focusing entirely on the Muppets and other puppet works. The screenplay was co-written by long-time Muppet writer Jerry Juhl (who also appears in a cameo).

The teleplay starred Richard Schaal as a man trapped in a cubical white room that anyone else could enter and leave but which he himself apparently could not leave. The main character, simply named "The Man", is subjected to an increasingly puzzling and frustrating series of encounters as a variety of people come through various hidden doors. But as many remind him, he can only leave through his own door, so he must find it.

At one point Henson comments on his own teleplay through a Professor who wanders in from yet another door.


PROFESSOR: Well, as I interpret what you’re doing here, this is all a very complex discussion of Reality versus Illusion. The perfect subject for the television medium!

MAN: What do you mean, television?

PROFESSOR: Well, this is a television play.

MAN: What?

PROFESSOR: Oh, you don’t believe that?

MAN: Of course not!

PROFESSOR: I should have thought you’d want to. After all, there’s only one other possible explanation.


MAN: Which is?

PROFESSOR: Hallucination. That you are altogether insane.



The teleplay only aired twice (it was rerun in 1970).

The central plot point is strikingly similar to "The Squirrel Cage", a short story by Thomas M. Disch that was published in 1967. Both stories are about a man who is imprisoned in a big white cube. The man doesn't know why he's there and never finds out. He never gets out of the cube. Disch's story also appeared in his collection Fun With Your New Head (Doubleday, 1968).

In 2007, the German Fringe Theater troupe GlassBooth, Directed by Roger Hoffmann and starring Jens Dornheim presented a live stage adaptation of "The Cube" titled "KUBUS", which performed to packed houses and critical acclaim.





Why Are You Still Choosing Failure?

Why do you always think in terms of failure? Is it so much easier to think that you can’t do things rather than you can? Have you noticed this about yourself? How about in the lives of others around you?

I am not sure why we so easily default to failure instead of success but it seems to be so.

We look to the future with a modicum of Hope in our heart, hoping, wishing and dreaming into a far off never ever someday land, but not truly believing that we could breathe life into those wishes and dreams, right now, Today!!!

Do you think it would take a miracle for something incredible and amazing to happen to you?

WAKE UP..something amazing and incredible ALREADY happened to you. You are ALIVE and breathing and experiencing an incredible moment on earth. Just because you can’t remember choosing this experience doesn’t mean you can’t use your innate intelligence to choose HOW you wish to live your life the rest of your life from on. That’s right, from this moment on you are in charge of the wonderful things in your life, just as you are in charge of the not so wonderful things in our lives. The word is called Responsibility, and once you latch on to it and use it, your life will change in way you never dreamed possible.

To quote the infamous Dr. Suess said before me,
You have brains in your head.

You have feet in your shoes.

You can steer yourself

any direction you choose.

It’s all well and good to hope for great things to come, to use the Law of Attraction to manifest lovely cars and houses, but NOTHING happens without ACTION. Nothing happens without your active participation. You and you alone are responsible for what happens to you. It’s your choice and always has been.

Have you been watching your thoughts lately? Well you might want to start. OR, You could look at what is in your life right now, from job, friends, family, situations, and KNOW what your thoughts have been.

You brought this into your life. You attracted it all. You see, you are very powerful and you can make all of your dreams a reality, with just a little help from yourself.

Two statements that will serve you very well. The first is: There will always be war. There will always be those who aggravate within others a sense of trouble in order to promote the solution that they already have their mind made up about. And so you're never going to come into agreement as a mass consciousness that this is "the way." There will always be disagreements; therefore, there will always be turmoil; there will always be war.

The other statement, that is our favorite is: Well-Being will always abound, so the dominant experience of the majority of people will always be one of Well-Being. So you can decide, at any point in time, in what part of this you want to play. You can use anything as your excuse to align with Well-being, or you can use anything as your excuse to not align. The thing that we think is at the heart of this discussion is my own personal power. We think that's what you are, sort of, struggling for and reaching for.

ALLOWING: The Most Important Part of Law of Attraction

3 Step Formula
  1. Decide what you want

  2. Give it attention,energy and focus

  3. Allow it


We often ask: What is taking so long?

Something is blocking it's delivery, which is what we call DOUBT. Doubt will cancel out our desires. To help remove doubt you must find proof that you are starting to manifest your desires.

  1. Celebrate the proof; notice what shows up and celebrate

  2. Record the evidence; be a good score keeper

  3. Appreciation and gratitude help you send out strong positive vibrations

  4. Use phrases like I'm in the process of... I've decided... Lots can happen...


The results you are getting are the feedback of what you are attracting. Send a vibration of the way you want it to be. As you find proof you widdle away the doubt as you manifest your desire.

Do you have to remove all the doubt? No!

You will still manifest your desires; you see the speed that the Law of Attraction will manifest your desires is in direct proportion to how much you allow.

Your homework: Celebrate things that manifest and in that very moment you are giving attention, energy and focus to what you desire and the Law of Attractions job is to give you more of the same.

Frankie’s Unstoppable Moment


Your thoughts are very powerful, more powerful than you can imagine. They are the key to your happiness. Not just success or failure but literally your happiness.

If your thoughts were to become things, (think carefully before answering), would you really want to bring to life the thoughts that rattle around in your head?

When was the last time you monitored and examined your thoughts? Really heard what you say to yourself, about yourself and others?

Just like on a daily newspaper, every story that runs through your paper ( head), needs to be edited. They may be full of half truths and fiction and sometimes out right lies. You can’t always believe what your thoughts tell you. Especially, if they are negative thoughts about you.

It’s time to get in touch with your personal urban legends. What stories have gone down in the annals of time that you KNOW aren’t true about. Get in the habit of checking for the “source” of your information and don’t believe every thought you hear, just because you thought it. It might not be your own story. In fact many of them aren’t.

Much of who we are, our “ true self’ or “self esteem” is actually derived from the input of significant caretakers, like parents, grandparents, siblings. They are the mirrow that reflects us to the world. When we were babies and young children, we might be called beautiful, or sloppy, clumsy or lazy, and at a time when we are especially vulnerable, we soak it up and make it our truth. I know that this seems strange but isn’t fact often stranger than fiction?

Let me explain briefly how this works.

You see our self esteem and self image lie in our subconscious mind. This is the powerhouse for all of us. When we are young, everything that is repeated to us, whether it be truth, lies, fact or fiction, takes up residence in our subconscious and without a referee to intervene for us or our self to stand up repudiate these statements, they eventually become who we are.

Our subconscious mind can be our most powerful ally but it can also be our most vicious enemy. Don’t get me wrong. It is happy to be either. It doesn’t have a conscience like you do. It has no morality, doesn’t know right from wrong. It only delivers what is programmed into it because that is it’s main function, it’s a powerful goal seeker.

It is our mainframe computer that sets the course for who we are, and it does it very well. Like a homing missile, nothing can alter the course of a goal that has been programmed into it, until you decide to replace it with another.

As already stated, who you are today was laid down in your growing up years. Say as an infant child, you were held lovingly, hugged and kisses repeatedly, and told how beautiful, smart and wonderful you are? What do you think the chances are that today, you might have a healthy image of yourself. Most likely you would be an affectionate, smart, confident, outgoing person, a real success story.

However let’s take this same child and put her/him with another family. Here this beautiful and smart child was told over and over again that he/she is ugly, disgusting and unwanted. This child is rarely touched and certainly never held and hugged or kissed goodnight. What do you think the chances are that these two children would turn out the same? Slim to none, right? In fact, I would bet that without therapy, that the second child turned into an adult who is extremely insecure, has few friends, and walks around with their self esteem dragging on the floor.

If she is a woman, she is a possibly has an invisible neon light over her head that makes her a target for abusers. Her aura says ‘victim’. Just like an anorexic who looks in the mirror and sees a fat person, this person sees what they were programmed to see. Someone not worthwhile. Certainly a distorted image of the truth.

It’s not rocket science is it? Of course there are exceptions and I am being extreme to bring home the point, but the truth is, somewhere along the line, we bought into it the story. We believed them enough to make them our truth.

What makes this so interesting is that they are ‘ONLY TRUE,’ if you believe them to be so.

Would you like to be someone else? Someone more confident, successful, happy perhaps? If so, then rewrite your script to be the person you want to be. I hear you thinking “if only it were that easy”? Guess what? It is! This is your key to understanding the Law of Attraction as well, because it is usually at the BELIEF stage where folks get stuck.

If you take ANYTHING away from this article at all, then please take the following tidbit home with you.

Inside you is the power to throw out all the negative messaging, all the words, phrases and stories that were placed in your head by well meaning ‘others’ for years and replace them with something positive, something that makes you feel good, stories that make you happy.

Reset your internal thermostat for Unstoppable. Create the person you want to be and see your new self come to life. Once you do, you will be attracting more and more positive things into your life.

The choice is now yours.

Take your first step towards independence. Challenge your thoughts, check your sources and edit and delete the stories that you don’t like. This is your ‘paper’, so turn it into something you are proud of. Be positive that it is something worth reading. Happy isn’t a place, it’s a mindset.

The buffer of time gives you the opportunity to get it right before it manifests, to take pleasure from the vision and from the molding it into place... It would be a difficult thing if you were instantly manifesting every whim or every misaligned thought. It's so much better that you have this buffer of time where you can feel it into perfection before it manifests into your experience.

Tips From Readers: Tweak Your Vision Board

Hey, I found that vision board will not help us to manifest easily.

I do have a concrete reason why it will not help. A vision board is full of our desires which are long term and short term together. So what happens is our energy is being scattered to many desires and insufficient force is directed to each desires. This is the reason why many cannot manifest by using vision boards.

The best method is choose our present desire let us say a cool car and place the picture where our eyes will meet them most. By doing this our whole energy is being directed towards the car thus it will be attracted to us. Expectation indicates the juncture between where you are and where you want to be… Where you want to be, is your desire, and where you are, is your Set-point or habit of thought. And somewhere, in there, is what we would call expectation. Expectation, whether it is wanted or unwanted, is a powerful point of attraction… Your expectation is always what you believe. But the word expectation does imply more what you are wanting than what you are not wanting. It is a more positive word than it is a negative word, but of course, you could expect negatively—and whatever you expect, you will get!

A Minute of Deliberate Attraction is better than None

Before I explain why a minute of Deliberate Attraction is better than none, I'd like to begin by giving a definition of The Law of Attraction.


Definition of the Law of Attraction: I attract to myself, whatever I give my focus, attention, or energy to, whether wanted or unwanted.

It is important to understand that The Law of Attraction operates in every moment. Right now, in this very moment, each of us is offering a vibration, and The Law of Attraction is matching that vibration and giving us more of it, whether or not we are offering that vibration deliberately or non-deliberately. As the definition says, whether wanted or unwanted, we attract more of whatever vibration we offer in every moment. When it comes to our vibration, whether or not they are deliberately offered, or non-deliberately offered and whether or not our vibration attracts to us something we want or don't want, The Law of Attraction is still paying attention and operating in exactly the same way---in EVERY moment.

Ideally, we will want to become more deliberate offerers about the vibrations we offer. When we become deliberate about what we give our focus, attention, and energy to, we are practicing Deliberate Attraction! Here is an easy 4-stage cycle to help you understand why Deliberate Attraction is an important skill to practice.

Stage #1: You observe what you are attracting in any moment of your life.

Stage #2: While observing what you are attracting, you are offering a corresponding vibration.

Stage #3: Whether offered deliberately or non-deliberately, in every moment The Law of Attraction is checking in with your vibration.

Stage #4: The Law of Attraction then gives you more of whatever you are offering vibrationally.

This 4-stage cycle keeps repeating itself over, and over and over again. This is how you manifest more of whatever you give your focus, attention, or energy to.

Notice the word 'attention' in our definition of The Law of Attraction. The more Deliberate Attention you give to something you desire, the more quickly it will manifest in your life. Imagine spending one minute deliberately placing your focus, attention, and energy on the way you want something to be in your life. You are filling that minute with deliberately offered vibrations. Your vibrations are summoning the energy of The Law of Attraction to start unfolding whatever you just gave your attention to.

Now that you understand more clearly the significance of being a deliberate offerer of your vibration, isn't one minute of deliberate attraction better than none? Remember, whenever you give attention to what you Do want, you are including it in your current vibration. And, whenever you give attention to what you DON'T want, you are including it in your current vibration. The Law of Attraction doesn't make any distinctions between the two.

In closing, in every moment, including this moment RIGHT NOW, RIGHT NOW, RIGHT NOW, you are including both what you want and don't want in your vibration. Practice becoming more deliberate in your vibration and you will manifest your desires more quickly. That's what Deliberate Attraction is all about.

Teaching Children Law of Attraction

When teaching children the Law of Attraction, it's important to be on the same level as your kids. For example: using words like "vibration" or "manifestation" will go over their heads. You want to use words they understand.

I find by teaching them about "vibes" is the best way to get started. You can explain to them about a "negative vibe" by using an example of being bullied at school or going to a bad neighborhood that feels scary. You can describe a positive vibe as going to a birthday party or winning a baseball game as a "positive feeling" or "positive vibe".

Once they understand there are 2 different feelings or vibes, of course they all want to feel good, so you can teach them how to tap into good feelings or vibes. The first thing I like to do is teach them about gratitude and appreciation. Letting them know what you appreciate and why you are grateful for all the things you have in your life can start them in the right direction.

I was coaching a mom of a 10 year old and she started letting her son know how much she appreciated the many things that he was doing. Then, she got a phone call from his teacher saying: "What have you done different with your son? He is getting along better with all the other kids and in general seems much more positive."

So, if you want to see a better result with your children let them know why you appreciate them!

Appreciation and gratitude are two very strong positive feelings and the Law of Attractions job is to MATCH VIBRATIONS. Start being more deliberate in offering the vibration of appreciation and gratitude.

Life is supposed to be fun. You said, "I'll go forth and choose. I'll look at the data, and I'll say, yes to this, and yes to this, and yes to this, and I'll paint a picture of the things that I want, and I'll vibrate about them, because that's what I'm giving my attention to. And the Universe will respond to my vibration. And then I'll stand in a new place where a whole new batch of yeses are available, and I'll say yes to this, and yes to this, and yes to this." You did not say, "I'll go forth and struggle into joy", because from your Nonphysical Perspective you know it is vibrationally not possible. You cannot struggle to joy. This article comes courtesy of the blog Life Less Distracted. Republished here with permission. It's a good pondering of the confusion surrounding "having a purpose", and how sometimes we end up attracting things we don't want purely because we think we're "supposed to".

I always thought a "life purpose" was a JOB. It is, but not the kind of job I was thinking. I thought it meant: I am a child care provider, or Realtor, or banker. Or artist.

Those are things you can DO with your Life Purpose, but those are not your Life Purpose.

Knowing your life purpose is knowing your soul's desired State of Being. This will be different for all of us.

In being a "mother" what are you REALLY "being?" You pick out verbs that describe what a mother does. You don't even need kids to be a mother... a mother is "loving, supportive, nurturing, etc..." You can BE THAT to everyone.

That is not even close to my Life Purpose, lol, I just used it as an example.

I know my life purpose has something to do with being close to God-source, learning about spirituality, and spreading it to others. I just can't find the actual words that light that match of inspiration within me yet.

I have read when you find it you will know it because it will be SOOO emotional.

I don't want to be "preachy" but I do like to help others to feel inspired. I know I do that not so much by my WORDS but by how I live my life. An example? I don't know. I might be off a bit, too. I need a day on the weekend to just focus on this. I really want to find my Life Purpose sentence. It will be just one. Something like, "The purpose of my life is to stoke the engine of personal creative expression by encouraging and awakening in others the divine right to a finely honed, passionate life." That was written by Sonia Miller. It comes CLOSE to what I feel, but it is not quite right for me. Other examples may be, "My purpose of life is to encourage and inspire those around me to fully live and embrace life by embracing life myself." You CAN add what you love in there, "through my music" or "through the love and care of children," or something....

I don't know.

My husband thinks I am crazy for thinking I HAVE a life purpose. I have to whole heartedly disagree with him, though. I do believe we have purposes. And the fun part is we can live our purpose no matter what "earth job" we hold. A garbage man (or sanitation expert) can spread inspiration to others to live a spirit-filled life (if that is his purpose).

I truly believe by figuring out your life purpose you can begin to live it and that will bring on more opportunity for you. I know that when you are on the path, things align and opportunities open up to you. So, I DO feel I have a life purpose and I DO know I want to know it. :)

Mentorship





Everyone will always remember who introduced them to the Law of Attraction. After reading Micheal Losier's book and learning the principles and the application of the 3 step formula to deliberate attraction, I new I wanted to train the way he teaches.

After training on line with Micheal last year and meeting him twice in Toronto, I was able to teach the LOA to hundreds of people across the Niagara area, including the Niagara Health System, Salons and spas, Real estate, travel agencies, church groups, chiropractors, and even children and teenagers. Then, I decided to take Micheal's certified facilitator training in Vancouver and trained with people from all around the world.

Since practicing the LOA for the past few years, doors are continually opening. It's all about being deliberate, that's why Micheal calls it deliberate attraction.

Special thanks to Micheal. Without his training, mentoring and true understanding of the Law of Attraction, my path to teaching as many people as I can would not be possible.

Gratitude: One of the Highest Vibrations on the Vibe Meter

In my book, Law of Attraction, I use a picture of a traditional radio dial to show radio station frequency display numbers. The radio dial goes from channel 01 to channel 100 with low vibrations being 01 to 50 and the higher vibrations are located on the dial at 50 to 100.

Understanding that Law of Attraction always responds to the vibrations that we are sending, ideally, we would want to be sending high vibrations. Appreciation and Gratitude are some of the highest vibrations that we can send. You can tell by how you feel when you are being grateful and experiencing gratitude.

There are many ways for you to express your gratitude. Know that, by doing so, you will be deliberately sending out one of the highest vibrations.

Life Will Always Be Working Out for Me. . .

I like understanding that things are always evolving, and while there are many things that could be better where I am, it is not really a problem because "where I am" is constantly changing to something better. I like knowing that as I look for the best things around me where I am, those things become more prevalent in my experience.

Gratitude and Appreciation

Any form of appreciation and gratitude will change your vibration. They are both strong positive feelings . We can generate those vibrations on purpose, just by being deliberate. An act of appreciation will increase the positive energy.

I'll look around my environment and notice things I enjoy, and ask myself, why do I appreciate this, how does it make me feel and why is it useful. I can create feelings of appreciation deliberately instead of taking things for granted.

Every day when you wake up, ask yourself, why am I grateful today? Make a list of 5 things you are grateful for right now. It doesn't have to be something huge, you can be grateful that you have gas in your car today. It's all about the feeling. You can only feel good when you are sending feelings of gratitude.

Life is about feeling good, experiencing joy and happiness and the good news is we can deliberately change the way we feel, remembering the Law of Attraction responds to the vibration you are sending and gives you more of the same.

I Can Transform My Own World for Me. . .

Make lists of positive aspects. Make lists of things you love—and never complain about anything. Appreciation and Gratitude Are Different Vibrational States. . .

When you feel gratitude, often you are looking at a difficulty that you have overcome, but there is still some of that "struggle" vibration present. The state of appreciation is seeing whatever you are looking at through the eyes of Source. . . You could walk down a crowded street with all kinds of things that a lot of other people would find reason to criticize or worry about, and you would not have access to them because your vibration of appreciation is picking out for you things of a different vibrational nature.

Shortages of Time or Money Are Perceptual

If you are feeling a shortage of time or money, your best effort would be to focus upon better-feeling thoughts, and do more things that make you feel good. Your time is a perceptual thing, and even though the clock is ticking the same for everyone, your alignment affects your perception, as well as the results that you allow.

As you observe the enormous differences in the effort that people apply and the results they achieve, you have to conclude that there is more to the equation of achieving than action alone.

What happens in Vegas...



Last week Geoff and I went to Vegas for the World Market Furniture Show as Geoff is in the high-end furniture business.

I love checking out furniture and accessories! We found some absolutely beautiful lines to add to the store.

Did you know that many people spend as much on furniture purchases as some people do in buying a house? I have to tell you, when I saw my first $10K couch about ten years ago - well, I didn't understand. Why would someone spend that kind of money on a couch? We now have a similar couch in our home.

I tell you this not to boast (not at all!) but to let you know that anything is possible. Did we focus and dream about the couch? Not at all, in fact, this is one of those things that fall into place as you get clear about the kind of life you would like to live. We want to live a life that is cloaked in beautiful things. It's automatic attraction.

How do you do this? (Ya, I know the couch might not be your thing - but this idea is transferable to anything you want to attract into your life)

If you're wanting to attract wealth into your life - you need to start expanding your boundaries of what's possible and normal for rich people. You have to take yourself to the next level by broadening your experience and your beliefs. And, you need to also start without trying to figure out the 'how's' of how this can all happen for you - just focus on the end result. The 'how's' will fall into place.

And, did you know that you can do all this and still be a spiritual being and do good for others? Why not?

Appreciation and Love Are Identical Vibrations. . .

Love and appreciation are identical vibrations. Appreciation is the vibration of alignment with who-you-are. Appreciation is the absence of everything that feels bad and the presence of everything that feels good. When you focus upon what you want—when you tell the story of how you want your life to be—you will come closer and closer to the vicinity of appreciation, and when you reach it, it will pull you toward all things that you consider to be good in a very powerful way.

Why Your Affirmations May Not Be Working... and How They Can!

Have you have been using affirmations to get what you want, yet you stand back and notice that nothing is happening? Have you given up on your affirmations and feel it is a waste of time?

There are reasons why your affirmations may not be working for you. Understanding the relationship between your affirmations and how they make you feel is the key to making them work for you.

An affirmation is a statement spoken in the present tense to declare a desire. Saying “I have a happy, slender body” is an example of a positive affirmation.

Many teachings on affirmations insist on stating them as if you already have what you desire, present tense. For example:

  • “I have tons of clients”
  • “I make lots of money”
  • “I have a great relationship”


Remember that Law of Attraction is always responding to the vibrations that we’re sending. The words we use and the thoughts we think, cause us to send out a vibration. The sentence “I have a happy, slender body” will feel differently to different people. For someone who considers themselves to be heavy or overweight, when they hear themselves say the affirmation “I have a happy, slender body”, in most cases they immediately tell themselves the opposite. “No I don’t! Look how big I am! I’m the biggest I’ve ever been! It’s not true! I don’t have a happy, slender body!” What’s important here is the reminder that Law of Attraction is always responding to the vibrations that are being sent whether negative or positive. A thin person, for example, could say “I have a happy, slender body”, and it would feel good for them, while a person who doesn’t have a happy, slender body will feel a negative vibration.

It’s not what you think or say that matters, its how you FEEL about what you think or say that counts.



Recommendations for Rewording Your Affirmations So They Feel Better.

The key to using affirmations is that they need to be true for you in order to make you feel good. Some of you have been taught to always state your affirmations in the present tense. I suggest you consider yourself to be “in the process”.

The “process” (the process of manifestation), actually starts when you think about your desire, talk about your desire, write about it, or when you give it any kind of attention, energy and focus. You ARE in the process when you say “I’m in the process of…..”, the sentence becomes true, and if it’s true for you, it feels good which is a positive vibration. Some examples of how to use this statement are:

“I’m in the process of….”

  • I’m in the process of creating ideal family relationships
  • I’m in the process of becoming more abundant
  • I’m in the process of attracting more clients


New each statement is true for you and it feels good. When it feels good, you are sending a positive vibration which the Law of Attraction responds to accordingly.
